Ukraine – the people are suffering

Ukraine – the people are suffering

It is impossible to convey the suffering and pain that the people of Ukraine have endured over the past two and a half years. Millions of lives and families shattered, hundreds of thousands dead, and every day, innocent civilians perish as homes are destroyed. The devil, in his great wrath, is celebrating an infernal sabbath. We are about to face the most challenging winter, and we don’t know what lies ahead. As long as we are alive, we want to survive and endure these terrible trials.

We desperately need your prayerful and tangible financial support. The needs are vast and constantly increasing. I live and serve in Ukraine and also need support! There are constant bombings throughout Ukraine targeting heat and power plants, and critical infrastructure is being deliberately destroyed, making survival impossible without heating and electricity. We need to prepare for winter. We need to purchase gas cylinders, burners, heaters, and candles that burn for 120 hours each. This requires funds!

We also need a 3-ton cargo truck, which can provide 5-6 times more support than the one we currently have. The price is $15,000. We also need funds for fuel, which costs $100 per trip.

For more than half a year, 18 people have been living in our house. Due to the ongoing bombings, three families will be staying with us this winter. Falling rocket debris and blast waves are destroying homes and apartments that need repairs, including replacing windows and doors, and fixing roofs. We pray that God will move your hearts toward generosity. God has much more than we ask for or need to meet these urgent needs in these difficult times of trials and suffering. God has blessed you abundantly and brought you to a prosperous country, just as He brought Esther to the king’s palace.

The Scripture says, “Rescue those being led away to death!” Dear brothers and sisters, your brothers and sisters in Ukraine need you desperately! May God abundantly bless you and move your hearts!

With brotherly love,

Omsk — Lera Went to our Father

Omsk — Lera Went to our Father

We organized a big celebration on Children’s Day, June 1st. Over the summer, new graduates from orphanages arrived, and we are actively communicating and working together. Working with children transitioning to adulthood is, in our view, the most important and challenging task. If we don’t reach out and win their hearts, they may start living a life of crime. Two girls gave birth at 16, and we are now helping them to survive. It’s crucial to teach them to choose life over death.

In a previous letter, I wrote about a girl who suffered from epilepsy, and her mother asked for prayers for healing. After our prayer, the child recovered. God showed mercy, and we began to regularly communicate with this family. For two months now, the girl has been rejoicing and praising God! This is a great encouragement for me.

This month, Lera, a girl we had been caring for for about five years, was admitted to the oncology department. Her health had suddenly worsened, and metastases spread to her internal organs. She was in a lot of pain, so our team created a schedule to ensure someone was with her every day to support her. She desperately wanted her mother to be with her, but her mother had lost parental rights and squandered all her resources. Lera was very tired of fighting the illness. We prayed with her, and she understood that she was going to the Heavenly Father. Lera was buried on June 7th. This is a difficult ministry, but we are needed by these children.

Lebanon — Bible Study!

Lebanon — Bible Study!

One day, I met a woman who shared her difficulties and struggles in family life. She agreed to participate in a prayer marathon for one month, where we would call and pray together every evening. After just a few days, she shared a testimony that changes had begun in her family. I believe these changes were the beginning of significant transformations in her life. But most importantly, she learned to find her comfort in Jesus rather than in antidepressants. She told me that since we started praying, she no longer needed the medications and had thrown them away.

Now, in moments of anxiety or distress, she prays and finds her peace in Jesus. The Lord grants her true renewal. This liberation has become her personal testimony of how the Lord actively works in life. After learning what Jesus did for us on Golgotha, she accepted Christ into her heart. Previously, I had seen many statuettes of various gods in her apartment. But on the day she accepted Jesus, she took a trash bag, gathered all the idols herself, and threw them out of the house. We prayed together that only the Holy Spirit would now live in her home.

I believe that the Word of God will act like a “double-edged sword” in people’s hearts and change their lives.

Reaching Thailand for Christ: From North to South!

Reaching Thailand for Christ: From North to South!

Peace and blessings to you, our Church family!

Our mission to reach Thailand for Christ continues, step by step, from the North to the South. One of the ways we work toward this goal is “Camp on Wheels,” through which we conduct evangelism and discipleship training to reach children and young adults across Thailand during school breaks. Over the last two months, we held four camps for children and two for youth, covering 2500 km (1553 miles) to reach our station in the South. We witnessed God’s work throughout Thailand!

North: In the North, we served at a children’s home for refugees and children from the Akka tribe in the mountains. “You are the first Christians that came to help us!” they told us. Partnering with a friend from the YMCA, we aim to ensure weekly visits. Our youth, many from broken families who have experienced God’s love and care, now share that love with others. Seeing how God heals broken hearts and uses them to heal others is a joy.

West: Our camp was for refugees from Myanmar, people who came to our country looking for safety and hope for their future. Many children from Muslim and Buddhist families could once again experience God’s love. Their testimonies were very encouraging. Some children from Muslim families are believers and haven’t announced it to their families yet but show their changed lives. Some can’t stay with their families because they believe in Jesus as the Son of God. It was a hot season and the temperature sometimes went up to 42°C-50°C (108°F-122°F). Our team witnessed how God provides strength and makes it possible to be energetic while doing His work! We also thank God for the way He provided finances through His children, allowing us to hold the camp, provide snacks for the children, and take them to the waterfall one day, for which they were so grateful!

South: It was a 3-day trip until we reached our place in the South. Heat, humidity, and mosquitos were the biggest challenges. But it was nothing compared to what God prepared for us there. Muslim families are open to the Gospel! We didn’t face any resistance but even received support when parents let their children join our 5-day camp. Sixty children attended every day, and many of them were from Muslim families. Forty of them came that week on Sunday for Church service. The team from Germany was a big blessing and support. We experienced true teamwork, serving together for God, Thai and German youth learning from each other and hearing how God works in each life. We thank God for the open hearts and pray for the right people to continue the work there.

Moving Forward: As we conclude this season of “Camp on Wheels,” we express our gratitude to God and everyone who prayed, donated, and encouraged us. Please continue to pray for open hearts to grow in their faith and experience God in their lives! Pray for God to send the right people to Thailand so that the Word of God can spread and more people can come to Christ! We are preparing for the next season of camps in October-November. Would you like to join us? Please pray for our “Camp on Wheels” ministry to bring Thailand to Christ, step by step, and while doing this, disciple young people to grow in their faith and reach their generation for Christ!

Bethesda — Tears in Their Eyes!

Bethesda — Tears in Their Eyes!

For the past six months, repair work has been ongoing at the shelter to improve the living conditions for those who couldn’t manage life and ended up on the streets. Of the 28 people living in the shelter today, 24 are elderly, and many of their days are numbered.

The most remarkable thing is that even when they were young, they never had such living conditions. Praise the Lord, who is wise in His plan to transform the soul and life of a person. Many of our residents have tears in their eyes as they see the rooms and the building where they have found refuge transformed in the final period of their lives.

These people, who were once considered unnecessary (and our residents were just like that before meeting Jesus), find it hard to believe that all this beauty is for them and that it is done by the One who left the glory of heaven and came to earth to make others happy. The work being done at the shelter helps many to reflect and reconsider their values. This is how the Lord changes their hardened and callous hearts.

Daily Bible readings reveal Jesus, who lived for others, in a new light. There is still much work ahead, but we do not give up, as we feel and have your support, both in prayer and financially. The Holy Spirit, who moves your hearts, also helps us in this difficult task.

I express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for your contribution, dear friends. Through charity, many accept Jesus as their Savior!

Ukraine — People in Despair!

Ukraine — People in Despair!

The situation with electricity is becoming more and more difficult. In eastern Ukraine, there has been no electricity for several days. Russia continues to bomb power stations in our region. Because of this, we experience daily power outages for several hours. Many people are suffering due to this, especially hospitals that cannot perform scheduled surgeries and treatments without power.

The situation for men is also very challenging. The actions of the Ukrainian government are increasingly coercive. Men are being abducted off the streets and then sent to the front lines. Most have no combat training, gear, or weapons to defend themselves. Many men are trying to flee the country, but it is dangerous and very difficult.

It is hard for me to describe this horror and despair. I have turned from a pastor into a psychologist and psychotherapist, as fear and panic have caused many people to develop mental illnesses and disorders. Our government has lost its sense of reason, and democracy is turning into dictatorship. Today, we are dedicating all our efforts to discipleship, and I ask you to pray for this. Thank you for thinking of us, praying for us, and supporting us.
