Thailand — make a gift!

Thailand — make a gift!

Every morning, more than 230 children walk into our Avoda School in Mae Sot. They come from refugee families—many without documents, but with hearts full of dreams. For them, this school is more than just a place to study. It is a home where they feel accepted, protected, and loved, and where they learn about a God who cares for them.

This is a school where Gaem, Mimi, Paw, and many others have already graduated, found Jesus, and now help care for the next generation.

We are praying for God’s provision and, if possible, for help to support one or two additional teachers for a year. At present, we have funds for one teacher for one month, and we are trusting God for the remaining 11 months.

Your donation of any amount will help these children receive education, love, and stability. Make a Christmas gift!

Currently, we have only four wonderful teachers and one volunteer who comes every day because she truly understands the children—she herself was once in their place. This team does everything: teaching, leading, taking children home, and even cooking! They give their whole hearts, but the need is far greater than they can carry alone.

We are praying for two more teachers. Supporting one teacher costs $250 per month. Would you join us in prayer?

Vietnam — Struck by Illness

Vietnam — Struck by Illness

In 2017, my wife and I moved to Vietnam to spread the Word of God. Before that, we had gone on several short-term mission trips and fell in love with the country and its people.
Later on, the Lord opened doors for us to serve in Thailand and Laos as well. From time to time, we travel there, continuing to sow the Word of God.
My wife Irina has the gift of evangelism. No matter where she is or whom she meets, she always speaks about her Lord. Even now, while in the hospital, she encourages almost every woman going into surgery with a word from God.
Vietnam has a very hot climate — temperatures sometimes exceed 40°C (104°F). We have contracted dengue fever twice, a disease that sadly takes the lives of many locals. Due to it, Irina suffered a minor stroke — but the Lord showed us mercy and spared her life.

Recently, we faced yet another trial: my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Over the course of five months, she underwent many tests and procedures. A surgery was performed, and now she is going through chemotherapy.
Irina is afraid of chemotherapy and feeling overwhelmed. Please pray for us! This is a very difficult season of life for my beloved Irina and me.
God continues to guide and sustain us through your prayers and your help. We humbly ask you to strengthen your intercession for us and support us as we walk through this valley — believing together for healing, hope, and peace.

Eugene was sentenced to 48 years in prison.

Eugene was sentenced to 48 years in prison.

God miraculously revealed to us dungeons in Thailand. Twice a year we visit prisons and bless the condemned.

When visiting Eugene, I always hear his sincere greeting: “Father Alexander, how glad I am to see you.” He is from Moscow, 31 years old, and has been sentenced to prison for 48 years. He is serving his sentence in one of the cruelest prisons in the world, “the Big Tiger”. He is imprisoned for ATM skimming; he copied debit card information and stole money from the accounts. He was caught in Vietnam but was able to negotiate to be expelled from Vietnam the instead of prison time. Having left the country, he arrived in the Bangkok, Thailand and here again he committed a crime. Now he is imprisoned here and was given a term of 48 years. Amnesties are often given in Thailand and Eugene hopes to receive one of them.

He has a loving mother, who could not reconcile herself with such a long time and made every effort to help her son. She hired a lawyer, who convincingly promised her to get him out of prison. He said that Eugene can be released by paying a $70,000 fine.

Without thinking twice, she sold her apartment in the suburbs, transferred it to the lawyer but he simply disappeared with the money. Eugene is now praying and his mother as well, and we also have constant contact with them. Currently, we have around 10 people in prison who we constantly stay in contact with.

My wife Irina has been meeting with Julia several times now, who is serving a 25-year term. During one of the visits, Julia turned to the Lord.

Thank you, friends, brothers and sisters, that together we are doing God’s work, spreading the Gospel of His Kingdom. May God bless and reward you.

With love from the whole team,

In the prisons of Thailand

In the prisons of Thailand

We visited 7 prisons in May and prayed and talked with 13 prisoners who are all from different countries.  One hundred visitors are permitted at the same time to make a visit and approximately one hundred prisoners are between us the bars. Guards are always watching. We came to visit two girls, one is from Russia and the other one from Uzbekistan. When we saw that they had a visitor already and didn’t have time for us, we were a little upset.

The visit is limited to 40 minutes, so we stepped aside and prayed. Later Zhenya wrote a note: “Jesus Christ loves you, He forgives all your sins and rose for your redemption.” and we passed the note to one of the guards. He looked at her and it was clear that he didn’t understand what was happening. He knew that he is breaking the rules and asked, ‘for whom’? Zhenya pointed at Leila, the girl from Uzbekistan, and he gave it to her. She read the note and tears started to run from her eyes, the person next to her also started to cry. I prayed for them out loud, it was a great experience. We were inspired by the Lord.

We also visited a guy who is sentenced for 25 years. He came to Christ in prison. The Lord formed through him a community with people from different countries. He preaches in English on Sundays. He was encouraged by our visit. Dear friends, brothers and sisters, we are grateful for your support in God’s work which we are doing together with you through prayers and financial support for the ministry. May God reward you.
