Lviv — Lonely and Tired

Lviv — Lonely and Tired

We need to complete the construction of a bomb shelter. Our children’s center has taken in a large number of children, and they need a safe place to hide. This is a very difficult task given the severe shortage of resources. Please pray!

I need to travel again because of the many sermons and seminars I am conducting throughout Ukraine. I am very upset because several good families from our church are leaving Ukraine because of the war. They are mature disciples and a very important part of our ministry. And now I need to start the discipleship process all over again — build a new team, look for new disciples, raise new leaders. I feel lonely and tired. Things are very difficult now because of the war.

Please pray for God’s protection over me and my family. My wife is experiencing very strong headaches due to stress. My daughter is expecting a baby, and she is also very worried! Thank you — I know that you are with us!

I know that the devil wants me to give up — wants to intimidate me and stop me because of the lack of believers and the lack of resources. The devil wants me to feel alone in a dry desert with empty pockets. But I will not give up! I will continue my mission. And I need your shoulder, your prayers, and your support in this extremely discouraging season.

Lviv — A Special Joy!

Lviv — A Special Joy!

We have decided to begin a summer marathon of daytime children’s camps. Our goal is 5 weeks, 5 groups of children. This is a very big goal, which requires great dedication and church resources. We ask you to pray that God would help and give us strength to realize our vision.
I have also received 7 invitations to hold conferences on the topic of discipleship. My goal is to train young people and provide them with discipleship materials. Please pray for me! There are so many trips — pray that God would keep me safe. There are so many meetings — pray that God would give me wisdom. There are so many presentations before large audiences — pray that God would give me inspiration.

I want you to understand just how important your support is for the continuation of our ministry. Thank you for being there!
Several people from our congregation have expressed a desire to be baptized. These are new believers. They have completed a discipleship course and are very much in need of your prayers.
And here is great joy! We had a baptism! Four young people dedicated their lives to Jesus! A very special joy for me — our son David was also baptized!
And that’s not all! Two more people have told me they want to be baptized, and we are beginning their preparation!
Our ministry in Ukraine is bearing fruit! I am confident that ahead of us lies even more fruit for the glory of Christ.

Lviv — Joy and Sorrow!

Lviv — Joy and Sorrow!

My health has worsened, and I had some tests done. It turns out I have issues with blood sugar, cholesterol, and other indicators. I know I need strength and good health to continue the ministry. I ask you to pray that God would heal and strengthen me. Thank you for your friendship! Proverbs 17:17 — “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”

This week, I’ve had a deep inner conflict. On one hand, I feel great joy. We celebrated an anniversary — our child development center turned one year old. We’ve built a wonderful team of 15 teachers, psychologists, and volunteers. There are 119 students enrolled in our center. Over 150 people came to our birthday celebration. I am extremely happy. This is a real church, a real ministry, a real influence.

But this week also brought deep sorrow into my heart. I can’t understand how to rejoice while feeling such intense pain in my soul. It feels like I’m in a battle with the devil. He is killing children, and I am trying to give them hope and a future. But whatever I do, it feels like it’s not enough.

I ask you to pray for me. And I also ask you to support our ministry.
Praying for you.

Lviv – Children’s Room!

Lviv – Children’s Room!

A brief update on the situation in Ukraine and our ministry. This week, there were terrible missile attacks on major Ukrainian cities—Odesa, Sumy, and Poltava. Russian forces are also close to capturing two major cities in eastern Ukraine (Sloviansk and Kramatorsk). Because of this, new refugees continue to arrive in our region.

We plan to continue serving these people through humanitarian aid, psychological support, children’s education, and more. Please pray for our team. Despite exhaustion, we keep serving and believe that this will lead many to salvation.

We ask for special prayer and support for our daycare ministry. Since parents need to look for jobs and work, they need a safe place for their young children. That’s why we have started working in this area.

Our plan is to renovate two rooms and turn them into children’s spaces. Only a few final repairs remain before we can fully use these rooms.

We are grateful for your prayers. The estimated cost to complete the renovation and purchase the necessary furniture is $800 per room. We would greatly appreciate your participation and help in making this project a reality.

Lviv — 3000 Gifts!

Lviv — 3000 Gifts!

God is good and protects us. That’s why we continue our ministry. We are starting a Christmas gift project, and our goal is to distribute 3000 gifts to refugees and their children. Please pray for this project. We plan not only to distribute gifts but also to hold meetings where people can learn about our faith.

The Children’s Aid Center is still functioning despite everything, thanks to the fact that we have a bomb shelter. I want you to know that the bomb shelter requires a propane gas heater. Please pray for this. Our goal is to provide warmth to the children, even when there is no electricity. Electricity is a huge problem as rockets destroy power stations every week. Praise God we have generators, and we actively use them. However, we need help to buy fuel for the generators. The fuel costs are very high, but there is no other option at the moment. For example, today we had electricity for only 6 hours. Therefore, during the winter months, we need additional help to buy fuel and run the generators.

Thank you for your prayers. And thank you for your involvement in our ministry.

Lviv — Winter is Coming

Lviv — Winter is Coming

As the situation in eastern Ukraine grows more severe and the Russian army continues to try to seize new territories, refugees continue to arrive in our city. It’s already November, the weather is very cold, and people are in need of warm clothing. Our humanitarian hub is engaged in distributing clothes and shoes. A large number of people come to us for help. We not only give out clothes but also preach to them about our faith. Please pray for this ministry and for the people who come to us.

The center for children’s development and support continues its work. Currently, we have about 40 children who regularly attend our classes. Please pray for this ministry. We are in need of teachers and volunteers for the team—please pray about this. Our utility bills for heating have significantly increased, and this is a big challenge for the church. As I mentioned earlier, many church members have moved to Europe, and those of us who remain are under a lot of pressure, but we are not going to retreat. Additionally, every day more and more churches are reaching out to us for discipleship materials. We appreciate your partnership with us and your help to those in need! We deeply thank you for being with us!
