The church in Pochinok was opened in 1996, it is 45 kilometers from Smolensk and has 28 members.
In our area are three boarding schools with 320 people in the villages Shatalova, Borschevka and Prudki. Some children have cerebral palsy. Our Church has access to the children in Prudka were 125 children live. Every Saturday our group visits this boarding school.
These children have parents, but they are deprived of parental rights. The administration allows us to conduct classes with children. After the boarding school, children go to study in Smolensk. In order not to lose touch with these children, we hold services every Sunday evening. There are children whom we baptized, and they have their own families now like Roma Kukhtikov who studied in Prudki, now he is a member of our Church and he continues to go to the boarding school and is responsible for physical education. Roma is married and God gave them a daughter, they named her Masha.
The Filimonovs family has 8 family members and lives in the Bubbnova, two of them come to Pochinik for the evening service from 5 – 7 PM. Millena is already playing the guitar in the church. Our church does not have enough space and we began to pray. The church was able to build a foundation of 30×16 feet on our own and we put up the walls. With your help, we were able to build the framework for the roof, and for now, we need to cover the roof with metal. The roof with the extension turned out to be 42.5 x 20 feet. We are now using money that has been donated from members to buy doors that will separate the hall from the dining room. We ask you to help our Church after that we will need to install the heating, electricity, sewers and lay tiles in the dining room. We are looking currently at total cost of $2250.
We will be happy if you visit our Church and watch our ministry in the boarding school and in the Church. We use our funds to bring children from villages to the Church and back home. Please pray for our ministry in our city. Many children remain in Smolensk after leaving the school; they also attend other churches within our union.
Our house church does not have a building for prayer and worship. We are meeting in houses. We pray that the Lord will give us a building so that we not only can worship there but also can hold weddings and funerals. In our culture such events are very important.
Therefore, we want to buy a property in the city. Currently, one of our brothers wants to sell his house and we want to buy this house and is build a house of prayer there.
If, by the will of God, we buy a house, then a ministry (BM) promised us to build a house of prayer from scratch.
Now our brother wants to sell his house where we are meeting to on Sundays and is asking for $30,000, this is a good price for this area.
This house is located in the city and it is convenient for all pedestrians to reach. Since many of us do not have a car, we all use public transportation like the Minibus bus and taxi.
Some neighbors have heard about the sale and want to buy this house. But our brother made a good price and does not want to sell to other people for the sake of our prayer group.
We have 1000 dollars that we have been saving for many years for this need.
I ask you to pray about this so that we can buy this property and find the needed funds for this.
One Church in Germany agreed to send from 2,000 to 3,000 dollars. There are individual people who also want to help in this need.
We need now $26,000. Brothers and sisters, please pray for this need. Many of you know that we do not have a house of prayer.

With the love of Jesus Christ, – Ministry in Dushanbe
The Church “Glory of God” in Kemerovo – Russia, has been helping to rehabilitate drug addicts and homeless men and women for 11 years. All this time we have been renting houses for the ministry.
Many families were restored. 27 new families were started. Men and women went through the recovery process and returned to normal life. Most of them with the Lord in their hearts. Many women received their children back from orphanages. This year, God blessed us to build our own ministry center, not far away from the Church. To this date, repairs are being completed, the walls are painted, tiles are laid, and we are finishing the hot and cold-water supply.
We already have 12 men and 9 women who need a place to stay, but we are still not able to move in because we are missing beds and a coal oven to heat the house. The price of one bunk bed is $150, which is $3000 for all 20 bunk beds.
Our desire is to move in before the cold weather starts. In Kemerovo it begins to get cold around September and therefore we ask you to help us. The coal oven will cost with installation around $2000. Any help to provide us with beds and the oven would be appreciated. May the Lord reward your giving!
