For Christmas, we made another trip to Lebanon! During the war and unrest, the people of Lebanon are facing great difficulties. Currently, they are without electricity, water, and communication. All of Lebanon, especially the city of Tyre, has been bombed by Israel due to the hostile group Hezbollah, which is hostile toward Israel.
Despite the war situation in Lebanon, since December 10, 2024, the Kirnev family has conducted numerous evangelistic services and children’s Christmas events. During our missionary trip, we held services in cities such as Zahleh, Tripoli, Beirut, and Tyre. The services took place among Syrian, Iraqi, and Lebanese refugees. We held children’s Christmas services, where we distributed gifts to children, and all of this was accompanied by the story of the birth of Jesus Christ.
We also conducted services among the refugees, distributing food aid to each family. With God’s help, we plan another missionary trip in the near future. In connection with this, we want to ask for your help. Bless us and help spread the Gospel in Lebanon! Lebanon is in a state of war, and this is the best time to spread God’s Word.
We deeply need your fervent prayers, because we know that this is the most important. Also, every contribution to this project will be a great blessing for the upcoming planned events.
May our Lord be glorified in everything. May God abundantly bless each of you.
Lebanon is located in the center of the Middle East. It borders Syria to the north and Israel to the south. There are still no economic or diplomatic relations between Israel and Lebanon. Since Biblical times, caravans of traders have stretched from south to north through Lebanon, reaching Galatia (modern Turkey). The main transport and trade routes from Egypt passed through Israel and Lebanon!
To reach the people of Lebanon with the Gospel, work continues among Syrians, Lebanese, and Palestinians. Evangelization is conducted among children and youth, in the form of children’s camps. Here, children are introduced to the truths of the Gospel for the first time! We thank God that parents let their children go to Christian camps! Many of them, tired of war and life in camps, are looking for a way out! Syrians, who fled the war, have been living in camps in Lebanon for over 10 years now! Their country is destroyed and they have no future in Lebanon either! Pray for an awakening in this nation! Events are also held among the adult population through musical projects. The Lord has opened doors for preaching in this country, and we are in great need of your support and prayers. Pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of those who listen in the upcoming services, granting repentance. May the Lord bless you.
In Lebanon, the descendants of ancient peoples live, who are in need of good news. For many years, we have been working among Syrians, Lebanese, and Palestinians. Children’s camps are highly effective for introducing the Gospel! In September 2023, brothers and sisters from the Salvation Church in Washington State donated their time and resources to visit Lebanon.
Children’s camps were held in the cities of Tyre, Bekaa Valley, and Tripoli. Each morning, the service with the children began with prayer and Bible lessons, biblical scenes, and other activities. The presence of the brothers, ministers, and those responsible for the children’s program, who came along with the youth, was a great blessing for all. The children became so close to and fond of their caregivers that they cried when saying goodbye, not only the girls but also the boys.
We thank the Lord that our friends have been a blessing, and the sown word of God in the hearts of the children will bear fruit in due time. Currently, preparations are underway for upcoming evangelism events in Lebanon involving our music group. Evangelism will take place from November 5th to November 12th, 2023, in the south of Tyre, in Sidon, in the capital of Lebanon – Beirut, in the Bekaa Valley, and in the north of Lebanon in the city of Tripoli.
Dear brothers and sisters, the Lord has opened doors for proclaiming the good news in this country! We need your support and prayers. Pray that the Lord touches hearts in the upcoming evangelism events, and people receive Jesus Christ! We believe in the Scriptures, that the fervent prayer of a righteous person has great power!
The city of Tyre is located in the south of Lebanon and is one of the oldest cities mentioned in the Bible. Jesus himself visited this place in the past. Today, the city is in need of the Gospel message. Following the civil war that began in Syria in 2014, as well as the capture of Mosul in Iraq by extremists, about 2 million refugees crossed the border into Lebanon, forming large tent cities. The local church in Tyre has been providing great assistance to Syrian, Kurdish and Iraqi refugees to this day.
Last year, Pastor Mohammed Yamut died under unclear circumstances. He was always open and not afraid of anyone, although he had received threats for his activities. Now, the church in the city of Tyre needs even more help. After Mohammed’s death last year, God called us to move here with our family. God gave me a wonderful wife and three children. Our mission in Lebanon is to teach music to children, provide pastoral care, preach, work with children and youth, and help the church with all its needs.
In the few months of our ministry, we have seen how the church has been encouraged after Mohammed’s death. Our desire and prayers are aimed today at bringing much blessing and fruit to the field of the Lord through our presence and ministry in Lebanon.
Dear brothers and sisters, I am reaching out to you with a special need. First and foremost, I ask you to become partners in this work in Lebanon. We also greatly need your prayer and material support.
In the summer of 2022 my wife, our three children and I arrived in Lebanon in the City Air, to start our ministry. Our goal is to spread the Gospel through:
Childrens ministry
Ministry to Orphans and Kurdish Refugees
free musical school lessons
Please pray for the protection of our families in Lebanon. We will be grateful for any help and support.
