Hope to People in Ukraine

Hope to People in Ukraine

Dear friends! Thank you for your tireless prayers! Recently we have seen missile strikes not only on military targets, but on civilians, destroying cities and homes. The city of Kharkiv suffers especially. There are cities where people are without water, electricity, food, and heat. Churches from other areas are trying to evacuate those who are in the war zones. It is very difficult to break through Kiev to the East of Ukraine.

Fuel shortage is a huge problem. It is not easy to find gas stations to fill up our vehicles that evacuate people. Kiev, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and other cities are bombarded with rockets and mortars. The number of dead and wounded is increasing. By the grace of God, we brought more than a hundred people from the war zone to Rivne. The next morning, brothers from two churches of our Association (Rivne and Zdolbuniv) left again to help to evacuate people from these regions.

Two attempts to leave the town of Irpen near Kiev were unsuccessful, fights are taking place all around Kiev. Please pray for God’s grace, there are a lot of people and animals that are trapped in the city… The people are exhausted and in fear. We can hardly contain the panic. 500 people gathered in the church sanctuary. It is impossible to get out, it is very dangerous, please pray for our drivers.

Please pray for the dangerous ministry of evacuation! After yesterday’s trip, a 16-seat bus failed. The bus is currently in need of urgent repairs. We are also asked to take women with children to the Polish border. Our partner church in Warsaw has been actively involved in helping refugees. We receive refugees in the church and in the mission. We cook for the refuges, collect food, blankets, matrasses, clothes, medicine. A group of Christians is on duty around the clock, serving people from neighboring houses as a bomb shelter, praying, distributing Bibles and Christian literature. Yesterday, one of the nurses held a seminar on first aid with presentations and demonstrations on mannequins.

In the afternoon of March 03. A group of our minibuses filled with refugees is trying to evacuate the people, but at the very first checkpoint they were forced to turn back. There is a tank battle, it is impossible to pass. There are 8 buses and 70 cars with people in the column. Pray that the Lord will keep and help break through to the west.

Thank you for standing with us and supporting us in a time of need!

Please note, 100% of all donations will go to help refugees from Ukraine. Our partner ministry “Hope to People” that we support, operates in Rivne Ukraine. New Fields also works through local churches in Lviv, Striy and Odessa…

Bethesda – house of mercy

Bethesda – house of mercy

We returned a few days ago from a two-week missionary trip. We prayed for that trip many years, and behold, glory to the Lord it took place. The Lord let me drive 5 thousand km through the western part of Russia. We visited 7 rehabilitation gospel centers and testified of the wonderful things God has done. A total of 250 more people heard the good news about our Savior. In addition, we shared a lot of joy great joy in their hearts, and we exchanged experiences and advanced the kingdom of God on earth. Many people accepted the Savior, and Christians glorified our heavenly Father when learning about His wonderful action in the ministry of mercy, on our Siberian land. During the trip, a brother called us and asked for help for a person who recently had his leg amputated. Today, Gennady is in our shelter. He came from Uzbekistan and lost all his documents. Hospitals are only giving him first aid, but can’t do anything else for him do.

I believe that the Lord will continue to take care of Gennady and others. We have 30 visitors who are currently living with us. And I thank you all, my friends, for your participation in the life and fate of these people. We are grateful and pray for you!

The schools are starting to open!

The schools are starting to open!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ! God is doing a miracle: Schools are slowly starting to open, which gives some opportunity for children to get an education. “Please come and teach in our school “ – We receive requests from a few schools. For the next few months, we have an open door to teach English and one hour Bible in two schools. One of the requests came from the big school up in the mountains, where many children come from hill tribes. The principal wants us to teach in every classroom, from 1 to 9th-grade students.

They will get 2 hours of English lessons and 1 hour of Bible lessons. Can you imagine, students in all classes from 1st till 9th grade will hear the word of God. In each class, about 40 students! We are asking your earnest prayers for God to give us wisdom in reaching these children together with the teachers, who will be there. Please pray that nothing will stop this opportunity and for more people to join this ministry while doors are open. Will you join our goal in reaching children and teens with the Gospel in public schools? Would you like to pray about it? Would you like to donate to buy material for teaching? Would you like to come and join in teaching?  May God bless you to fulfill whatever your answer is!

PNG – being a midwife

PNG – being a midwife

Here is how we live: waking up, getting the kids to school, quiet time with God, and then work work work. Close to the afternoon I remember that I had no breakfast, I hastily swallow my coffee with one hand keep typing the alphabet for preschoolers with the other. Outside I hear a fight, I suspect our kids Michael and Feli, who love to tease each other. But it turns out, it’s not them – the noise comes from the fact that the time has come for the pastor’s wife to give birth. All hospitals in the area closed due to covid, so I skipped the coffee almost knocked down Feli on the way, yelling into the void, hoping someone will hear me: “Boil water and bring towels!”

This experience is the second time in my life being a midwife, it was beautiful and literally half an hour later I hold hands smiled at the chubby baby, which was named Caleb. Pray for our Senior Pastor Joshua and his wife Jill who gave birth to three beautiful children and never complains about the schedule of the ministry, nor about their living conditions. Thanks to everyone who prays and supports our ministry in Papua New Guinea.

My help comes from the Lord

My help comes from the Lord

Dear Church, thank you very much for your faithful prayers and support! This young boy lives without parents but with family relatives, who do what they can to provide for his needs. This year is his first year in school, and he could witness that help comes from the Lord, because of your support we were able to make small sets with school supplies for children like this boy.

How was so happy by holding his first backpack! Other girls were happy to wear their dresses for church. Once again, they were able to witness that God cares and helps them. The group of children started to learn musical instruments, so they can participate during Sunday worship time. Their teachers – our youth, are passing their experience to the younger generation. What about musical instruments? We didn’t have enough to practice but God already took care of this too! During a children’s camp, funds were raised and we were able to buy an electrical keyboard, speaker, and microphones! Our help comes from the Lord! Now, these young children are praising God with others who come to church and lead worship time!

We are very thankful for George and Mary, who joined us in the ministry!! Thank you to everyone who was praying for this. This month especially we are expecting to meet our baby and God sent His help just in the tight time!!

May God bless every one of you.

Uganda – Girls are in danger

Uganda – Girls are in danger

The brothers and sisters from refugee camps in South Sudan northern Uganda give greetings. The life of a refugee is not easy. Many of us were traumatized by losing loved ones, leaving house and property behind. The permanent lack of food and diseases traumatizes even more people. Now there’s one more enemy, Covid19, which took the lives of many in refugee camps.

Frequent lockdowns due to the virus are a disaster for many families. Living in refugee camps is really hard. The family of Lemy Kosmasa left the refugee camp Bidibidi last month because of starvation and the family returned to South Sudan. This week we found out that the family was murdered in cold blood in Lainya. Another sad situation is that the majority of teenagers in refugee camps are dropping out of school due to Covid-19 and being unsupervised all day many girls between 12–14 years old eventually get pregnant. And the father’s child, who is a teenager himself, runs away from the camp to avoid responsibility.

Rose Dima and Joyce Murata invited over 200 teenagers to a conference, and we praise God that 33 of them gave their lives to Jesus. Word of God is alive and we pray that God strengthened these new believers would grow in His word.
