Omsk – Leras mother broke down

Omsk – Leras mother broke down

We have been participating in life of children who are admitted to a pediatric Oncology, a hospice and four orphanages. The more we are open and help people, the more they are willing share their pain with us. I want to say thank you from every child and from me, for your kindness, prayers, and help! I wrote about Matthew who needs urgent surgery. We sent him to St Peter and we are waiting for news.

We have now there are especially worried for Lera. This is our oncology girl which we have been helping for two years now. Her mother Masha is a teacher at the orphanage home that we visit. After returning from St. Petersburg, I took them home to Artyn. After one week the child protective services took custody of them because of poor living conditions and Masha started drinking. Lera is now in the orphanage home, and we are trying to resolve the issue with the administration and help Masha with her obligations. She fought for two years for Lera but now can’t handle it anymore. When Lera saw me, she sat on my lap and cried, saying that wants to go home to mom. Her condition has worsened due to the stress. She needs to be taken for treatment, and this is 120 miles away from the orphanage. Lera prays and believes that a miracle will happen. Although she’s only 8 years old, she is reasoning like an adult.

Also, Yaroslava is also in a very bad condition, she is 7 years old and we know her for over three years, she has leukemia in a very severe form, it has paralyzed her head and face. Her mother asks us for help. They will need to fly to St. Petersburg for a bone marrow transplant. Every child knows that God helps them through other people. Thank you for that and God bless.

Omsk – become our father!

Omsk – become our father!

At the beginning of March, my team and I drove to an orphanage in the village of Muromtsevo. My eldest daughter Olga was with me and there I was asked to speak with a nine-year-old girl. She sat down on my knees and immediately began to ask: “Sasha, take us to your home, my younger brother Ruslan and an older brother Alex. Your daughter is already grown up – she’s 18. She will leave home, and you can take us in.

Everything inside me turned upside down because I was not ready for such a conversation. I told her said that this is not so simple and that I have three children, not only Olga, and that I will think about it and pray. Two days later and suddenly it the director of the orphanage calls and says that a family is coming from Krasnodar and wants to adopt these kids and needs help finalizing documents and pass tests. This is a real miracle and the fastest answer to a prayer in my life. God is great.

We were also contacted by a young family asking for help, they have two sons and the younger one Matthew needs special care. His heart is on the right hand and a hernia on the liver, due to which the liver is strongly elevated and does not give room for the lungs to develop. His parents love him and fight for his life, he is only two years old.

There is a doctor in Italy who is ready to operate on him, but the family does not have funds to buy tickets. We will need approximately $3000 for tickets and accommodation. Oksana – his mom prayed at our meeting and accepted Christ. She is very worn out spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Brothers and sisters, we found ourselves again as neighbors for this family in need, and I ask you for help. May God bless you.

Back in St. Petersburg

Back in St. Petersburg

I am sure that all of us get great pleasure from the ministry to sick children and their families. We have a unique opportunity to do what Jesus did.

Today He does it through us! A month ago, Lera began to feel bad so she and her mother were urgently sent to St. Petersburg, to the clinic where she received a bone marrow transplant. It was a small medical procedure. Lera had gathered fluid in the lungs, and her legs started to give up. Now they already returned back to Omsk, and I met them at the airport and took them to oncology. On the road, her mother told that on the flight to St. Petersburg a 17-year old boy died on the same day, and two days later a 9-year old girl.

They both underwent a transplant on the same day. She says that felt our prayers every second, and for her, it is very important. Mary sincerely thanks everyone, she cannot understand how people, who are overseas can be so close! Now we have opened churches, and Mary wants to come and pray! They still long-term treatment is ahead, and we will fight with them, for Lera. Thank you for being with us in this fight!

Christmas in orphanages!

Christmas in orphanages!

Christmas is always a reason to be joyful to those who experienced Jesus, and a reason to share the good news with people who live next to us. I’m in charge of the Mercy Ministry in our church. We as a team care about people, who are in need. We take care of widows, disabled people, and children at risk.

In December we had the opportunity to give out 500 gifts, and we also told them the Good News. We visited four orphanages, held Christmas concerts there and organized festival food table for A miracle happened to the children in the oncology department. Due to quarantine, we could not get into the department for 8 months, but on Christmas the department manager allowed us to do the covid test, and we able to get to the children for 3 hours. The children and their parents did not want to let us go. We gave gifts to the children and told them about Christ.

We were also in the hospice, there were a few children capable of talking and so we mostly talked with health workers. We were very happy for the opportunity to give to people, who do not know Christ, a real Christmas. For them, it was an unforgettable experience of meeting Him. Jesus says what you do to these little ones, that you have done to me.

Children with cancer

Children with cancer

We have been helping families who are undergoing treatment in St. Petersburg after a bone marrow transplant. We are especially involved in the fate of Lera and her mother Masha. They had a very difficult situation, and the doctors fought for Lera’s life. Now, her recovery is going very well, and they are being prepared for discharge and may soon return to Omsk. Masha is thankful for your participation and means a lot to her. She is from an orphanage and a year ago when the news of the terrible diagnosis came, she was lost and lonely. The fact that we were near when this happened is God’s mercy for her, and she understands and appreciates this. Today Masha reads the Gospel and prays.

It is very important to me, that not only parents but also children prepare for their possible death. Considering that we have lost three of whom we took care of, there is a need to pray with each parent and help the child to accept Jesus Christ by faith.

Yesterday, Alena wrote to me, she has a son named Gleb. At the end of September, they flew to St. Petersburg for a checkup. I bought them for Tickets and helped with housing. We accompanied them to the airport and prayed together for God’s blessing.

The hospitals in the city are under lock-down and we are not allowed to enter. But we give gifts and fill the box of courage.

We also bring food and gifts to orphanages, and communication with children is allowed only online.

Thank you for your kindness and mercy that opens the hearts of people to accept the truth!

Amanzhol is already with God

Amanzhol is already with God

I am very glad to inform you that Lera and Masha went from St. Petersburg to Omsk after painful and long procedures. They have overcome the crisis and will be under the supervision of our doctors, this is a small victory to us, thank God. They are very grateful for your prayers and support.

In December, a boy, Amanzhol, whom we took care of for over 2 years was transferred to a hospice, it is the place where they send children when the doctors are powerless. Amanzhol refused to eat and I decided to go there to pray and bring him and his loved ones gifts and treat Due to quarantine it was impossible to get into this kind of place.

I went there with a psychologist from the children’s oncology department, where he was treated. During those two years, he became part of our family, and we prayed on the way there for the meeting to take place. We were met with the director of the hospice, Marina Andreevna, and I immediately said that I wanted to pray with the child and prepare him for eternity, and also give gifts.

Her answer amazed me: “I heard about you and for a long time wanted to meet. It would be good if we would have a personal priest here”. I knew God can do everything, but I didn’t expect that. We ended up not just visiting Amanzhol, who died 2 days later, but every child. They have many needs and plans, and I believe that with your support we can help them! We Thank God for the open doors!
