Lebanon – Working with Women

Lebanon – Working with Women

A woman we met once asked us to pray for her husband. He works as a doctor in another country and the new hospital management decided to lay off foreign workers. We prayed together about this situation and left everything in God’s hands. After some time, the woman shared a story that happened at her husband’s workplace. There was a long queue at the clinic. Her husband went out to the corridor, saw a woman with a child in her arms, and realized that the child was in a critical condition. He began to provide first aid. All this time, he saw someone from the doctors standing next to him and watching his actions. When the child got better, he and his mother were taken to a separate ward! After everything ended, the doctors who were observing him approached her husband, it turned out that they were the new hospital management and among them was the new director. He thanked the doctor and said that he was very glad that their hospital has such professionals as him.

And when the director found out that the doctor was a foreign worker, he certainly did not dismiss him. Through this testimony, the woman became even more convinced that Jesus really hears our needs. She told her husband that we prayed for him, and he became more disposed towards us. This woman was so amazed at how easily the Lord solved the problem that she started telling her girlfriends about it. Her friends became interested in who we are, and through this woman, we met other girls. We also visited one of them and got acquainted. Now the Lord has given us another woman in whose heart we can sow truth and righteousness.

We visited and served the families entrusted to us, bringing them God’s love and assistance in living. Glory to God, for He blesses through your kind and responsive hearts. May the Lord bless you a hundredfold. And now there was an opportunity to visit the tribe of the small nationalities (Red Yao), whom we served in May 2022, participating there in the ministry of the Word. This is 1700 kilometers (1056 miles) from our residence, and we had to fly by plane, then travel by train overnight, and also rent a moped and drive through the mountains. There, Brother Sean and I were met by Sister Simei, who accompanied us and helped in the ministry. The weather was bad, it was raining and muddy. The roads were slippery, and I even managed to fall from the moped once, so in some places we had to walk to reach the people we went to, bringing God’s love and help.

One family invited us to talk to their two sons – drug addicts, but when they heard about it, they told their parents to give them money and then they would stay to listen. The parents didn’t give them money, and they left. But in this house, about 15 people gathered to meet with us, and we talked about our Savior Jesus Christ, sang, preached, and prayed to the glory of God. Adult members of the Yao tribe cannot read, and some even don’t understand Vietnamese, so Sister translated into their language. Thus, we visited 3 groups of about 15 people each and conducted a Sunday service. We blessed Sister Simei and even pray about helping her financially a little. Thank you for your support and prayers for us.

Kyiv – 75 drone attack

Kyiv – 75 drone attack

At the end of November, 75 drones attacked the capital of Ukraine. We need prayers every day. Your prayers are a shield that protects us. We have also started building a bomb shelter in the church building. It’s a difficult but very necessary task. We also need prayers and support for the implementation of the security project for our shelter. Thank you for being with us! Short news from our ministry. Winter has come. That’s why our shelter is overcrowded with people. It’s chaos again. But we have electricity, heat, food. And most importantly – the opportunity to preach to these people. Please pray that we can convey words of love and truth. We are actively distributing clothes.

We rent a small warehouse near the church building and every day we invite refugees to hand over necessary clothing. My wife is working on this project. I ask you to pray for God to give her strength and wisdom in this ministry. Every week, young people from our church collect food and go to the hospital to help soldiers wounded in the war. These people have lost all hope, they are traumatized by war, their bodies are mutilated. They feel like they are no longer needed by anyone! Pray that we can show them the love of Jesus. Thank you for your prayers! Thank you for your love and help warm us this cold winter!

Lviv – two more rooms!

Lviv – two more rooms!

Air raid sirens again. Each day the shelling becomes more intense. This means that we need to work harder. I am pleased to report that this week we finished renovating two rooms for refugees, and the consultant’s office and the children’s class are ready for service. This is another victory for us. I am very happy that you have become part of this ministry and part of this victory. Thank you for your prayers and your support.

We are starting to insulate two more rooms for accommodating refugees. And again, we need your prayers and your support. This is extremely important because, through this ministry, we see people repenting of their sins and starting to believe in Jesus! This happens every day! And therefore, our ordinary life has become like a fairy tale adventure. Because God is performing many miracles. Thank you for always being with us! I pray for you and pray for our partnership!

Children’s Ark – Christmas!

Children’s Ark – Christmas!

We never know how long our children will live. Therefore, we do not waste time in vain: we engage in activities, learn to read and write, solve problems, and much more. It seems that just recently the first bell rang in schools, we were assembling backpacks with the children, wearing lush bows. And now it’s already November, and that means it’s time to prepare for Christmas. And although it’s gray and rainy outside, as the saying goes: ‘Prepare the sledge in the summer.’ Christmas is a holiday of love and mercy. Therefore, we do not remain indifferent, and with great pleasure we open a collection for Christmas gifts. We invite you to this wonderful atmosphere of preparation for the wonderful and bright holiday of Christmas. Gifts will be collected not only for children from the orphanage in the city of Saint Petersburg but also for children from other regions of Russia. Everything in the world starts with something small, everything is born small, and then grows: a small sprout becomes a big tree, a stream flows into a river, words grow into sentences and big novels, great melodies are composed from a few notes. Dear ones, let’s all together gather Christmas gifts for our children!

PNG – addressing Wounds!

PNG – addressing Wounds!

Thanks to constant prayers and financial support, we can work here in Papua New Guinea, one of the most remote and forgotten corners of the world, but not by the Lord. As you know, one of our main ministries is medical, and very often our morning starts in the middle of the night, not with coffee, but with the next patient (patients) waiting for us to help them. Someone got cut with a machete, someone got into a fight, and someone else has a fever that won’t go down – and if you’re a missionary, you’re kind of like 911. I am very glad that they turn to us, and not to a shaman – it means that faith in the Word of God and the power of prayer surpasses the folk beliefs in the power of persuaders, and for this, we praise the Lord.

We buy medicines from a pharmaceutical company in a big city (3 hours drive from us), and we treat people absolutely free of charge, as we see it as a ministry. Very often people accept Christ right there, while we dress their wounds, – and then we bless these people also with the New Testament or an audio Bible.

We ask, if possible, to allocate funds for the purchase of medicines! We could help more people, but we are only limited by the means to buy medicines. And even more, we need prayers for the complete healing (both spiritual and physical) of those people we help. May the Lord bless you!
