Bethesda – the father was deceived!

Bethesda – the father was deceived!

In the middle of August, strangers called me and started telling me about an elderly man who needs help. They told me that at the beginning of summer, a middle-aged man brought an old man who could barely walk to an empty house next to them. He brought him there and just left.
Approximately every 10 days, this man came back with a small bag and left a few hours later. The old man, his name is Victor, practically never appeared on the street. And the man who brought him here was his son.

He sold his father’s apartment, and brought him to a half-destroyed house, with no lights or heating. Before he sold his father’s apartment, he promised to take care of him. So, every 10 days, he brought him in a small bag several cans of food and 2 loaves of bread.
Also, he is withholding his father’s small pension for himself. But that’s not all: as it turned out, the elderly man began to walk even worse, but this was due to the fact that the son was beating him almost every time he came, whenever they had disagreements.

When the neighbors learned about it, they called us, and now, glory to the Lord, Victor is with us now. The process of his rehabilitation will be very difficult and lengthy, because he has broken legs, can only move with great pain, and he does not have a single document about him – everything is with his son. Additionally, he also began to lose his hearing. He is very much disappointed in life, and we ask you to pray for his soul. Praise the Lord that he is with us. Now Victor can still live and enjoy real care.

Thank you for your help and participation.

I want to be a Christian!

I want to be a Christian!

Ps.22:27 “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord,”

Dear Church, thank you very much for your faithfulness in your prayers and support. We are glad to see God’s work here.

It was Sunday morning when we saw a new face at our church. We noticed her interest in reading the Bible and participating in worship with all her heart. She introduced herself and said that she was very happy to be here. As we learned later, Ching* comes from a Buddhist family. She heard about God from her friend and was very interested to learn more, now, when she started high school, one of her classmates was a Christian who invited her to come to church. Ching rode her bicycle for a few kilometers on hot days to get to church. One day we were taking her home after evening Bible study and she asked: What does it mean to be a real Christian? I want to be a Christian! What do I need to do? We had a good talk before we arrived at her home. She asked us to stop next to one of the houses, where she secured the bicycle and happily went home. The bicycle she was using was not hers, she borrowed it. Ching continues coming to church and Bible study. Today she asked if she could have a Bible and read it at home. She is happy to come and help with children in Sunday school. Ching wants to learn more about who God is and she hopes by helping to teach children she would learn more. It’s only God who works in the hearts of people, changing them from the inside. We also thank God for another lady, who comes with her son. She said that she learned about God before and for some reason, was not going to church for a long time. She brings her son to Saturday school and comes together on Sunday. She wants her son to know God and glad to spend time with Christians and pray together.

Praise God we started a new school year, every Saturday more than 40 children come to learn English and the Bible. We are very grateful for our local helpers who are helping in teaching and growing in service for God! We would like to tell you that every

15 $ – would be spent for a small daily snack for children

30$ – for small monthly prizes for children

30$ – to equip teachers and helpers monthly

We appreciate any amount of your investment! We can surely say: God provides!

Thank you very much for being co-workers in God’s work. May God richly bless you and give you strength and wisdom!

New Guinea – Christmas

New Guinea – Christmas

The prison ministry is slowly growing into another church. Five prisoners are getting ready to be baptized. Thank you for carrying this ministry together with us! For Christmas we are planning to be busy – we are preparing a Christmas program with children and plan to visit each of our four partner churches. At the beginning of January, we are going to hold a conference and baptism.

Last week we came together with the leadership team for prayers. We believe if awakening won’t be with the leaders, then the response in the communities will be silent. We are grateful to God for this team of dedicated people who put their life on the altar of the ministry. We currently have four churches, each has a pastor, including our senior pastor Joshua at Yonki’s Promise Land. All of them left their villages and moved to the place where they serve, to these very hard-to-reach places, deep in the jungle. They all don’t work and have families with children that they need to provide for. Tithe in churches is about 2-3 dollars a week.

If God prompts you to support one of our pastors for ongoing support or maybe a one-time gift for Christmas. Please be sure to pray for them constantly, only God knows what sacrifice they make.

Vietnam – Doing good

Vietnam – Doing good

We met a family, who is living in the “city in the cemetery”, at the end of 2018. They have 5 children. The first meeting was very tense, the little girls looked at us from around the corner, it was clear she was not trusting us. Their hut is made of tin. It’s hot in there, but it gives them a roof over their heads. We started bringing them food, singing songs, and playing with the kids. Then we invited them to the local church.

I remember one summer when we came, and two little girls were very sick, were sneezing, had a fever and a runny nose. We asked Chao’s mom how we could help. To which she responded by folding her hands, to show, that we could only pray to God. This touched us greatly.

Our friend Thau lives nearby, he is suffering from leprosy, has no fingers and toes, and is 75 years old. We have been friends with him for almost 3 years, we always visit him. Together we pray and sing hymns. The last time I saw him was 5 months ago and I thought, “Will we meet again?” When he heard my voice, he crawled to my lap and hugged me very tightly – we are brothers.

When we pray and sing psalms together, we sing in Russia and he sings in Vietnamese. He also plays the harmonica. We pray for his health, for strength, and for his testimony to the world.

Friends, thank you for your support in Vietnam.

Jesus Christ for Tanzania!

Jesus Christ for Tanzania!

The struggle for survival is ubiquitous in Africa. Depending on the regions, people differ greatly: they can be friendly and good-natured, but in some places, they are very fierce and aggressive, and it is not safe to walk without guards. A significant part of the tribe’s worship pagan gods and follow traditional African religions.

The Lord continues to open doors for us when preaching the Good News in Tanzania and Congo. Evangelistic services were held in stadiums where tens of thousands of people gathered to listen to the Gospel. When the name of Jesus Christ was proclaimed, some adults, as well as teenagers, fell to the ground cramping: it was obvious that dark spirits were controlling them. Observing these phenomena, we understand how God needs dedicated men, who in the name of the Lord would forbid and drive out the enemy forces was heard; and thousands of people responded to the invitation to be reconciled with God.

When I was flying over Africa, I teared up and had to repent. “Lord, forgive me that I do not notice Your blessings, which You have given me, and that I thank you so little.” I realized then, “the more you thank the Lord, the more you realize God’s blessing.” I had to exclaim in the midst of the sleeping passengers: “Lord, what a rich and happy man I am!”

Friends, thank you for your participation in preaching the Gospel to the ends of the earth!

Lera – readjusting to life

Lera – readjusting to life

Despite the fact that we cannot have direct contact with children, we found a way to take care of them. This requires more finances and we need to be more creative. In orphanages – we help with groceries and the purchase of educational equipment. In the children’s oncology, we were able to organize our programs on the street, and the children watch from the windows of the department and were moved by it. And after the program, we gave them gifts and children’s bibles. Medical professionals testified that this is good for children because “a cheerful heart is beneficial for their healing”.

Special thanks from Masha – Lera’s mother. Lera has a positive attitude, they have already left the ICU, and she is learning to live in around the new conditions. They have to stay in St. Petersburg and will be watched for at least 6 months. So far, everything is fine, after transplantation of the bone marrow, her body is getting stronger, and most importantly, Lera is in a good mood. And this is thanks to your prayers and donations. I know for sure that your participation will save the life of this girl and many other children.

We are trying to help four more families who went from Omsk to St. Petersburg for a bone marrow transplant.

On behalf of our team, we thank you cordially for your help and are happy to serve the Lord together. We need help with monthly medicine, food for the children, renting an apartment, and gifts for children. Thank you for your open hearts!
