Uganda – Feeding the hungry

Uganda – Feeding the hungry

I would like to thank New Fields Ministries and all the Slavic Baptist churches in the United States for supporting our churches in the refugee camps. We bought several tons of food for $8,000. We delivered the food to the camps in the Ajumani district in northern Uganda at the end of August. From there the food and other goods will be distributed to 22 local churches. Praise the Lord for your love and support!

Children’s Ark – our children

Children’s Ark – our children

By Russian law, children living in an orphanage must be outside for at least four hours a day. What to do with them and how to entertain them if it’s raining outside? In St. Petersburg, it really is raining a lot. Rain is a part of our life here. And when it rains, children should have a roof over their heads. We already have two wooden gazebos, and we are very grateful for them, but there is not enough space for everyone.

Therefore, we decided to build a third gazebo so that every child has a place and opportunity to be outside. But gazebos are not only needed in the rain, our children love to be outdoors. The food is tastier outside, and it is easier to play and draw on the street. Our staff is happy to provide outdoor lessons or heart-to-heart conversations with children.

For the third such gazebo, we need to raise about $2,000.

We will be very grateful if you help the Children’s Ark in purchasing materials and building another gazebo for our children! Thank you and God bless you!

Bethesda – the house of mercy

Bethesda – the house of mercy

The Lord blessed us with food packages, and we had the opportunity to share them with those in need, in our village and surrounding areas. We distributed 38 food packages, mostly to big families, the elderly, the unemployed, and the needy. And precisely about one large family that I wanted to tell you about. Nastya is 23 years old, has two children who are three and one year old, and she also carries a child at the moment. The children have a father, or rather, he appears only when Nastya receives governmental child support, which is not enough for anything, in order to take the money from her away.

We have been supporting her for a very long time, my wife goes to her almost every day. Her situation is even more complicated by the fact that they took out a mortgage, and because of the difficult situation in the country, Anatoly, the father of the children, lost his job and started drinking. For the past six months, they have not been able to pay their rent. Nastya and her children are in an extremely difficult situation, and we ask for your participation in the fate of this family. Nastya was in despair, and when she found out that she was pregnant, she wanted to have an abortion. God gave wisdom and answered our prayers and Nastya didn’t commit this terrible act.

Dear friends, we ask for your participation in the life of this girl and her children. Let us work together not to let them despair and lose their homes over their heads.

Vietnam – Ashim and Daria!

Vietnam – Ashim and Daria!

God is shaping our team in Vietnam by bringing in new people from different nations like Ashim (Uzbekistan) and Daria (from Kazakhstan). It so happened that at the end of 2019, they came to Vietnam to spend the winter here and give birth to a child. Ashim assisted his wife in giving birth without the participation of doctors. Daria is a believer and she almost immediately found our church in Nha Trang. In the last 6 months since we know them and they heard the Word of God, their life changed for the better. When we met Daria, she was often crying about her relationship with her husband. We invited them to go through the “Open Heart”. They agreed, and we taught them what a biblical relationship is.

They also have a son, Ramzan, he is 3 years old, he prays in the congregation, sings hymns, and we see how this touches Ashim. Daria told us that Ashim is becoming different and softer. Praise the Lord. We recently traveled to a neighboring province with part of our team. Thanks to such trips, God brings people together. We see how God is working and we ask you to support us in prayer for the Ashim’s family. We believe that he will become a true believer.

Dear supporters, we thank you from our hearts for your support during this difficult time. Our strength comes from the Lord!

New Guinea – mother to 19 children

New Guinea – mother to 19 children

Although I gave birth to only two white children, I have many more black children in my heart. The nineteenth child is called Simon. I will never forget when I saw him for the first time – we picked him up, barefoot and tattered, from the street of the big city where he lived and was surviving with food that people threw to him. At night he often talked in his sleep, mostly cursing everyone and everything, and at dinner, he always hid a piece of food as a “reserve”.

He now goes to school, he no longer has lice, and only God knows what he all had. And instead of swearing words, he constantly sings with his full voice, not very accurate but very sincere. “There is a place for me in the house. I am a child of the King, I know!” And the main event for us was his repentance a few weeks ago. Simon was nobody’s, and then he became ours. And now, finally, he has become HIS. Simon does not know how to read, but he really wants to learn it, and if you go into his room during the day, you will surely find him sitting on the bed and staring dreamily at the Bible – the only book he has. And every evening he prays for a long time, always out loud.

Matthew, his roommates said: “Yesterday we prayed together before going to bed, and Simon prayed for so long that I fell asleep, and when I woke up, he was still praying.”

I recently became a mother, for the 19th time. I have been told I am out of my mind. Yes – I answered. 19 is just a number, but behind each of them is some gray hair, and there are always a million questions … Yes, I lost my mind. But, every time I see their smiles, their glowing eyes, and hear a “mommy” – I know that I am ready to do it 20, 30, and 100 times. Give us strength, Lord.

Omsk – help for Lera

Omsk – help for Lera

We are paying special attention to Masha and her daughter Lera. On June 29th, Lera underwent a bone marrow transplant in St. Petersburg, and she is still under the serious supervision of doctors in the ICU. We remember how we were helping Wova and Misha but their bodies could not cope with the pressure. We used the time to deepen our friendship and talk about the Savior. Mothers and children themselves were ready to meet God. This is the goal of our ministry. It is not always possible to save children’s lives, but we try to give them faith.

With Lera, everything is going according to plan and it is easier for her because her body is strong. Her mother works in an orphanage that we visit, I learned this when I was driving them to the airport. It’s amazing how much God has everything under control and on time. In the village, where the orphanage is Masha asked me to take care of her eldest daughter.

The fact is that Masha spent everything, that she received from the orphanage, on drinking and smoking and her life turned to horror.  She now gave up all bad habits and is taking care of Lera. Masha literally does not leave her. She began to get to know God and is open to us. Christ has his own plan for each of us! We help them survive in St. Petersburg and take care of their eldest daughter in Omsk. Masha’s family is at broken and they have no way to take care of themselves. We are in dire need of prayer and financial help. Thanks for your support!
