Vietnam – the end of isolation!

Vietnam – the end of isolation!

As soon as the self-isolation restrictions began to loosen in Vietnam, we came together as a team and prayed and went to serve people. We have five large families, which we visit for more than a year now, and bring them food every month. We went to negotiate with the authorities so that they would allow us to perform a deed of mercy, to which they said: “We can show you, people who need help, even more, we have 79 of them”. We agreed to participate in helping these people by purchasing five food packages. One food package contains 1 rice bag, 10 lb, 1 bottle of soy sauce, 1 bottle of fish sauce, 1 bottle of oil, 2 lb of sugar, which costs around $10.

Accompanied by a female translator and a policeman, we went to visit the families. In the districts, we were met by a senior from the area and he accompanied us to the homes. In the first house there was a disabled grandmother, who about 80 years old, with three granddaughters (their dad is in prison, their mother left, leaving them to their fate), we blessed them with the food package, sang a song, prayed and went to the next house.

We were met by a lonely widow, just under 80 years old. her house is clean and tidy, but there are no relatives, she lives alone. Everywhere people thanked for help and attention. We could see the sadness, longing, and sorrows on their faces. We especially think about the last grandmother, she told us a lot about her life. She is 84 years old and receives a monthly pension of $13, her relatives are distant and do not care about her. She was very happy to see us.

Dear friends, we ask you to participate in evangelism by helping with the daily bread. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers and help in the work of the Lord.

Meet the Grushevski Family

Meet the Grushevski Family

Minusinsk is one of the oldest cities in Eastern Siberia. It is located in the center of Asia and is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Many families with foster children live in our area. We want to build a house in Minusinsk in which the foster families, like orphans, can live.

Many events take place on the first floor of the “Children’s Ark”: workshops, youth clubs, and seminars. On the second floor, we have two large apartments to accommodate foster families who have taken in children. One of our families that we would like to introduce is the foster family of Olya and Denis Grushevski. They have seven children, four of whom are foster parents. They are all relatives, two brothers, and two sisters. The children have been living with the Grushevski family for almost a year now. Before that, they lived with their mother and stepfather. The children’s mother is mentally retarded so that she cannot take good care of them. The children often starved, and nobody cared for them, they were left to take care of themselves.

The oldest girl Vika had to take care of everything at the age of 11. She cleaned up at home and took care of her siblings. During the time that the children lived with their mother, they were put in an orphanage several times, but then they returned to the mother every time. The last time the government took them to an orphanage, it was final, the stepfather was jailed, and the mother lost custody of them.

A team of volunteers constantly goes to the orphanages to spend time with the children, and Olya Grushevskaia sometimes went with them to give the children a haircut. Back then, Olya and Denis thought of fostering children and did everything possible. At that time neither of them thought that they would foster four children at once. When they came to the orphanage, Olya saw two of the brothers, Rusik (4) and Misha (5), who were four and five years old. She immediately fell in love with them, then met Vika (11) and Dasha (2). From the beginning, she knew that these were her children. Now they are a big and friendly family!

No home, in our time, works without electricity, neither can we! Almost everything depends on it. Currently, the electricity in the children’s ark comes from a nearby store with which we have a temporary agreement. The electricity we get is being interrupted again and again and we remain without electricity many times, which makes the bill for the electricity very high. To have electricity without interruptions and to be independent, we need a power station.

We would be very grateful if you could support us with prayers and finances for this matter.

We need the support of everyone who is not indifferent to it!

God bless you all

Malawi – the commands of Christ

Malawi – the commands of Christ

David was born on June 4, 1991 in Ntcheu Malawi. After three months of training, he went with his wife to practice in Bwumbwe. David and Patricia have a child and are happy to have the opportunity to serve God. Bwumbwe is located in southern Malawi, where the Ngoni and Lomwei tribes dominate. People make a living by growing corn, tea, beans, and various vegetables.

On May 24, I visited their small church. I was glad to see the fruits of three months of work. 45 people who heard the Gospel accepted our Lord Jesus and are now members of the new community. David and Patricia work in a team, they created the youth and children’s ministry. Patricia teaches children every Sunday, while David conducts youth classes in the mornings.

They visit homes every week and share the word of God with the locals. In a conversation with me, some said that they no longer despair, but have a living hope for Jesus. He freed people from drug addiction, prostitution, witchcraft, and robbery to serve the living God. We thank you for participating in this work and ask that you continue to pray for revival in the area and for God’s guidance in the life of David and Patricia!

Uganda – leasing land

Uganda – leasing land

I am writing to you because from the first day until now you have not stopped praying for refugee camps in northern Uganda and in South Sudan. In connection with the coronavirus epidemic, life in refugee camps has become even harder. Especially due to food shortages. We see that the best way to eradicate hunger in camps is to encourage refugees to cultivate fields and grow their own food.

If there will be enough rain and tools for farming, I am sure that refugees will be able to provide for themselves. We plan to lease 3 large pieces of land located near the camps, which will allow impoverished and desperate people to cultivate the land and feed their families.

We plan to rent 30 acres of land in northern Uganda in the areas of Moyo, Obongi, and Ajumani. The cost of 30 acres is $ 800 per year. The land must be cleared and plowed by tractors. We want to purchase seeds and tools for cultivating the land. We ask you to participate in this project. Given the unforeseen costs, we need to collect from 1700 – 2000 dollars for each of the three camps.

Our goal is to give refugees the opportunity to work in groups or associations. Work in families and communities. Thus, they will no longer wait to be fed but will be able to process and eat from their fields themselves. We ask you to pray for rain and the blessings of this project!

Krasnodar – Do good!

Krasnodar – Do good!

When we were visiting families with disabled children, we met one family closer. Olga has two children, 10 and 12 years old, they both are diagnosed with a psychological delayed development. Olgas life is not easy. A year ago, she buried her mother, who died from a stroke. One of her siblings was diagnosed with schizophrenia and is being treated in a psychiatric hospital. Her second brother is addicted to alcohol. With him her problems began in her life. He asked to live in her apartment. She could not refuse to help him. Within a few months, he turned the apartment into a landfill. It became not just uncomfortable, but impossible to live in. He was sent in a rehabilitation. We pray that he will find freedom.

During the stay, the brother did not pay for utilities! He didn’t bring any money home. She had to accumulate debt and now there is a danger that the apartment will be taken from her. Olga turned to us for help: “I was left all alone. If you do not help, no one will help me.” We decided to help Olga and put the apartment in order. In order to make necessary repairs and to make the apartment became livable again we will need about $2000. We really hope for the help of caring people. We believe that through our care of Olga and her children, her heart will open for the Gospel.

Letters from God

Letters from God

Every Sunday, children from different houses, which are up in the mountains, are running with a great joy as they see our car entering their village. Some children already waiting in the assigned place, some running down and some up the hill trying to come on time. Some come with their Parents, some with older siblings. They come, because they want to get a letter, a “letter from God”. This is a folder with a Bible story in it, and at the end of the story are a few questions that need to be answered and then they need to drop the folder off in a special mailbox. Once a week all the letters will be picked up, checked, and on Sunday, given back with a new Story and small surprise.

As the pandemic started, we were challenged on how to continue share about God, we can’t do it online because many children don’t have devises and internet access. As we prayed, we saw God answer in making this project, which we see showed big interest in the hearts of the children. This is a ten-week program with the main Bible stories, where they can see step by step God’s plan of salvation. We are very grateful for your prayers and support, because we see how God is leading us and provides. As we read answers from children, we can tell that some children don’t have any knowledge about God, creation or theBible. Some are even using Wikipedia to answer the questions. Younger children are seeking help from their older siblings or parents, which gives opportunity for the whole family to learn about God.

Please pray for everyone in these two villages as they are reading and getting to know about the true God. At this point we have more than 70 children. Please also pray for our team, and youth to be faithful in their calling. May God richly bless every one of you!
