Bethesda – the roof was replaced

Bethesda – the roof was replaced

We don’t have enough words to express our gratefulness. Our hearts are filled with joy. We praise and thank the Lord for your prayers, help, and support. One of the serious drawbacks at Bethesda was the old roof. Because of the leaking ceiling, we could not make internal repairs in the rooms. Over the course of seven days, the roof structure was reconstructed: the roof was replaced and covered with new iron sheets. Brothers and sisters from seven different communities participated in the work. Thanks to the replacement of the roof, we will be able to redecorate three more rooms, in which nine people can live. Elderly at the age of 55-60 years, who do not have relatives and those who nobody cares about are increasingly turning to us for help.

Bethesda is located in the very center of the village, and none of the local residents can pass by without seeing what great thing is being done here, where until recently there was nothing! Thank you for everything!

Answer to our church prayers

Answer to our church prayers

Throughout 2019, our community prayed daily for the opportunity to enter the new House of Prayer and start holding meetings in a spacious hall that can accommodate everyone who wants to join the worship of the living God.

Many doubted it because, in order to realize our aspiration, it was necessary to carry out a number of complex and expensive works. But I remembered the book of Psalms 144: 8-9, we did not get tired of crying out to our almighty God. His mercy was revealed once again. On December 25, the church gathered, for the first time, on Christmas Eve in the new building, without any interior design, but already in a spacious and warm room.

On December 28th we had a Christmas program for children, with prizes and giveaways and on December 29th, our first Sunday worship of the Church “Word of Truth” took place in the new building.

Now all church meetings are taking place here like the Christian children’s club “Joy”, counseling for addicted people and for premarital and married couples, any other kinds of meetings and of course – our usual Sunday services.

Many thanks to the Lord and all who participate in God’s plan for the development of the “Word of Truth” young community! We believe that the transition to the new, more spacious building will become crucial in the development of the church.

Bethesda – God did not leave!

Bethesda – God did not leave!

Homeless people have been living in Bethesda for many years. We have sheltered them and have weekly bible meetings with them! For some, we help restoring documents, apply for pensions for them, and take them to hospitals. People with amputated limbs are among them!

When we took over the building, it was in disrepair. In order to have homeless people reside there we urgently need to change the roof and make major repairs. Bethesda is not just a home for homeless people – it is also our church! Here we are gathering for worship!

God did not leave us. With your help, we have bought wood and are ready to begin the repair. We still lack about $4,000 for interior decoration. We will be grateful from the heart to all who participate in this good deed!

Sudan – For the Gospel!

Sudan – For the Gospel!

Greetings my friends, our Gospel preaching is not limited to one place. We thank God that the ministry began in Sudan in the highly populated areas of the southern Blue Nile, in the areas of Ingessana, Uddu and Jumdzhum. A wide door for the Gospel was opened in northern Sudan, and we are so grateful that God used our disciples, Abdel, Saddam, Jalfu, Gadir, Abusaal, and others to reach the local population.

Last August, we visited churches in Sudan and heard about the persecution of our leaders, pastors, and ordinary believers. Pray for Pastor Abusaal. His Father-in-law, had learned that he had become a Christian, he took his wife and children, saying that he would return them only after Abusaala converted back to Islam! His wife, not believing in Christ, also doesn’t want to continue to live with him. Abusaala is now looking for money to pay his parents in law to buy out the children. He needs to pay $600 to get his children back. They wanted to sue Abusaal for adopting Christianity, and he was to appear before an Islamic court in Maban. Please pray for him!

Many Blue Nile residents are refugees in northeastern South Sudan, and they are among the people who were not able to reach Sudan. Pray for awakening in this region of the country and about opening new churches. Also, for existing communities, which today, among the hatred and hostility of the local population, perform ministry in the name of Christ.

The Maasai School

The Maasai School

We thank God for all the good that He has done for us. The school is doing well. After the holidays, we opened on Monday, January 6, 2020. We thanked God because He sent us rain and all the grass was green. We don’t need to worry about how to feed our livestock at the moment

School attendance is pretty good. My children are all grateful for their school uniforms and shoes. Last year, we bought part of the uniform. Now we bought the remaining sweaters, shirts and ties. We really appreciate your support. May the Lord bless you all. As you can see in the pictures, my children are very happy.

Now in the community, many parents want their children to go to school, but I do not have a second separate room for the other class. This is one of the main problems that I am facing today.

I also have an assistant, a teacher – this is a young man who received secondary education last year. He will be able to teach in primary school. Everything depends on the second room. Pray for this so that the Maasai school can grow!

Christmas has come on time!

Christmas has come on time!

Jesus was born just on time … The world needed His love and the Lord gives us unique opportunities – to talk about the born Savior!

With your help, we were able to visit three children’s institutions, where children really need love, attention, and care. Fifty gifts went to the children in the children’s hospice. It has a tense atmosphere. Children on the verge of life and death. We came to visit them right on time. This time around is very difficult for the children.

Twenty gifts went to the children’s rehabilitation center. Children who live here have parents who have temporarily lost custody of them. The Christmas message brought them some joy while away from home.

We brought 70 gifts to the children’s oncological hospital. It was a great holiday. Games, songs, fun and, of course – gifts. Here we met the11 years old girl, Ruzana. We had a conversation with her, joked, played and talked about Christmas. A few days later, Ruzana died … Christmas arrived on time … Thank you so much for participating in the Christmas project!
