We have several children from Omsk in St. Petersburg who are awaiting a bone marrow transplantation. We also taking care of them and they had a real Christmas. Among them is Dasha, about whom I already wrote. Anastasia, Dasha’s mother asked to say hello and thank you for your participation. She is having a hard time. Dasha cannot gain strength for the surgery, and her burden falls on her mother. She has been alone for a long time. They don’t let anyone see them; they are in a closed compartment. Doctors only allow passing gifts to them.
Anastasia had a nervous breakdown, and doctors asked me to help her. Thank God that she is feeling better and has the strength to go on and fight. She has already done all tests and is ready to be a donor for her daughter, we are waiting and praying that doctors will approve it. When I think of them, I recall Psalm 22. It is very easy to quote by heart, but it can be difficult to apply in your personal life! We need Jesus. Everyone needs him, especially people on the verge of death.
I am very grateful to you that you are next with our children! We need prayers and support. May God bless you!
Last December we started our program “The gift of health and hope” as we entered our winter season. Many families live in simple homes, where often the temperature inside is the same as outside, and this season it was 7C (44F) which is very cold for us.
This is the season when hospitals are full of sick children and adults. We were encouraged by this situation, to make small presents for wellness with some cough syrup, cream, warm socks and etc. and share the hope that is in our Lord Jesus. One of our events took place in our evening school where we invited the parents of our children. Most of these children come from very simple families with a small income, some are growing up with their grandparents. As we talked about Jesus’ birth many people were very surprised to hear the good news that Jesus was born in a very simple place, laying in the Crip and have shepherds as His first visitors. Jesus, the Son of God, was born poor and very simple! For many parents, these were news they probably didn’t hear before.
Thank you very much for your prayers and financial support. We were able to make more than 100 presents, but we didn’t stop there. As the cold season continues, we would like to offer the same program in a public school, teaching the Bible on a weekly base and encourage elderly people.
We really appreciate every one of you, your prayers and for the last month God provided a helper for us, but we are still in big need for an English speaking person who has a heart for God, to help us to teach in the public school the Bible and English in January and February. We believe that our God is the God of miracles!
Please also pray for our youth as they are growing and facing many temptations, having Christian support only in Church.
Many blessings to every one of you, your families and churches.
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life…” – John 14:6
Greetings dear brothers and sisters! We would like to thank you all for your prayers about our trip to Cambodia. We saw how our Lord was with us in a country where 97% of the people are Buddhists. Yet, praise be to our God, for there was a small church in on every step of the way and how He blessed us in the Siem Reap city with who we were blessed to take part in ministry. God blessed us to be part of their prison ministry, as well as to visit poor villages and an orphanage, but I would like to share with you most of all about the opportunity God gave us to visit the prison’s rehab, where there are many men and women who suffer from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
We had only men come due to the time limit we were given, but we were still blessed to share our testimonies. Pastor Alexander and our sister Evgeniya shared how they came to Christ and how He set them free from their addictions. They shared that Jesus is the only way and the only Truth that can set us free, and He is Life – the real life in which we now live free from addictions (“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”-John 8:32). Even though we had a dual translation; Russian to English, English to Khmer (Cambodian), the people understood us nonetheless and we saw how the Holy Spirit worked, praise God!
There were two groups we testified to; both had about 30 men and among them, we even saw boys of ages around 13 or so. With each group, we spent about an hour and at the end of each group, we called to pray a prayer of repentance those who want to. In the first group, we saw individuals who were crying when we prayed, and at the end of the second group, we had half the room come forward and kneel on their knees, holding to each other and praying to God. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, For we were overjoyed to see how He touched hearts. We were also amazed how people of Buddhist religion wholeheartedly listened about Jesus, Praise God! Please, dear brothers and sisters, continue together with us to pray for the people of Cambodia, for them turn away from their false gods and turn to Jesus! Thank you, and may our Lord bless you all abundantly.
Dear Church, brothers, and sisters in Christ! We are very grateful for your prayers and support towards the reconstruction of our Church building in Thailand, where less than 1% of the population are Christians.
Thank God for the nine people which opened their hearts and came to help, not only to build but also to cook, organizing day camps, giving clothes and toys to children, teaching English to government officials and encouraging local youth. Two other tribes, that we visited together and organized camps, were very grateful and encouraged by it. “Thank you for coming and organizing a camp in our place, you brought a lot of joy to children and many are encouraged to come to church or youth group” – said a pastor who works with people in that tribe. Our local youth also had a lot of opportunities to serve together and learn new things for the ministry. It was very active and full of many blessings.
During this time, we had a temporary bamboo shelter, where we continued all the activities. Now, as the school year started, we have a strong and safe building, where children, teens, and adults can come and learn about God and also, learn how to live life the way God meant it.
Thank you again to everyone who participated in this work, it made a big difference. Even though there are a lot of things accomplished, we are still continuing the work on our building, where we need to protect our roof from the heat, put some bricks around the metal frame and make our floor nice. If God puts in your heart to participate in this project, please make your donation towards this cause “church building”. May God richly bless every one of you!
These two ladies look very happy and grateful because now they can listen to Jesus’ story on their own, tribal language! One of them got a device and in the next few days brought another lady who was really asking to have the same. Even this elderly lady doesn’t move much, she found her strength to walk to the Church and get a story that she really wanted to hear! Please pray for these people who hear about God through these devices that God would give them an understanding and open their hearts for Him!
Ministry in Thailand – San and Anita, “Avoda” Thailand
Grace and peace to you beloved friends, brothers and sisters! We want to inform you about the events developing in the work of God in Southeast Asia. Lisa, born in Buryatia – Russia, decided to move to Vietnam with her children. She met one of our sister Eugene online, and they began to communicate frequently. Eugene invited Lisa to a meeting where she heard about a loving God and turned to Him, accepting by faith that God the Father had given Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for her.
She told one of the congregations that she wanted to receive water baptism and came to this wonderful holiday for our church. At the end of November, in one of the cafes, there is a baptistery (pool), there are no people there on ordinary days, and we were delighted, thinking in silence to hold a baptism among our own. We agreed to come there on Saturday. They prayed for this baptism all week because they invited unbelievers and believers so that the Lord himself would touch their hearts.
When we arrived at the cafe, to our surprise, absolutely all the tables were occupied. There were about 50 people in the cafe, and we are another 15 people. Thank God we quickly found a place near the pool, we prayed, sang praising Jesus, told the reason for our holiday and read from the Gospel. 6 people of unbelievers came to the baptism and heard about the New Testament from us. Glory to God, through the Holy Spirit, He rules for His glory.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, for your sacrificial support in the work of the Lord, which we are doing together, proclaiming the good news about our Lord!
Jesus came to the “sick.” To those who really needed Him. He did not pass by the sick, the outcast, and the lonely. Christmas is a holiday that reminds us of Christ’s most important mission. That is why, on this day, our team went to hospitals and boarding schools, where people are in very difficult, painful and lonely situations.
In the Krasnodar Children’s Cancer Hospital there are about 70 children. They are here for many months, fighting for their lives. Every day, children undergo painful procedures. Their mothers are with them crying daily. Last year on Mother’s Day, we arranged a special day for them. We made coffee, invited musicians to play the saxophone, and started a creative workshop with them. It was so nice to see smiles on their faces.
The children’s hospice has nearly 60 children with diagnoses who are incurable. Hopelessness is everywhere! Other children are placed in a children’s rehabilitation center. They are waiting for their parents to stop drinking and change their lifestyle. Some have luck and some don’t. Some parents lose parental rights … Children will be sent either to other families or to the orphanage.
At Christmas, we went to these children. We carried gifts, a good mood, and most importantly – the story of the Savior’s birth. Thank you for participating in the gifts. We invite you to come with us and become part of our team!
