Put All Trust In The Lord

Put All Trust In The Lord

“In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.” ~Psalms 71:1

Dear brothers and sisters, we would like to thank you all very much for supporting us in prayer about our children’s ministry here in Vietnam. Our Lord is working wonders but not only in the hearts of the children; I have been noticing how God at the same time is greatly working within me and strengthening my faith in Him!

Glory be to our dear Lord Jesus Christ for showing His works and blessing, to serve the children on the cemetery every Saturday at around 4:00pm. We do craft that is related to a verse from the Bible which they are able to take home and then share that word of God with their families. Praise God, they have also begun to pray with us every time we are with them even though they don’t understand our language.

On the other hand, I would like to share how God with His awesome mercy blessed me this past Saturday when I woke up with a terrible headache, swollen tonsil, and a high fever. I realized it was physically impossible for me to lead the children’s ministry that day. What was worse, is that it was raining heavily outside. I had a thought to cancel the children’s ministry for that day, but I remembered that we promised them last Saturday that we will come and they probably will be waiting. Not knowing what to do, I just began to pray to God that if it is His will for us to go and do the children’s ministry, for Him to let my illness go away by 3:00 PM without me needing to take any medication because it has an impact on my driving ability, as well as the rain to stop by that same time. As I waited for 3:00 PM and the hours past one by one, my pain and illness progressed and the rain became worse, which made me begin to doubt the possibility of doing the children’s ministry today. However, this was that amazing moment when God was teaching me to put my full trust in Him and have faith that He will never let me be put to confusion; because at 3:00 PM my swollen tonsil, fever, and headache miraculously went away and the sun came out without any rain in sight! In addition, when we came to the cemetery the kids kept on coming and coming. We had to use all of our craft materials and even a few new kids came! God blessed the children’s ministry even more that day! I’m so thankful to Him for showing me to never doubt when I put my trust in Him. Praise God, for doing great miracles and working within my heart too! May our Lord bless all of you and your lives as well with the wonderful miracles through our faith in Him!

Malawi – Pastoral Training!

Malawi – Pastoral Training!

Dear supporters of New Fields Ministries, as we wrote in the previous letter, God put in our hearts to open a school for church leaders in Blantyre – Malawi. Our people are very open but without training and instruction, it will be difficult for them to remain clear to the doctrine of the Gospel. To open new churches in remote areas and rural areas, we need educated pastors.

To sponsor pastoral training, we will need financial support of $100 per month for 2 years. We plan to train up to 20 pastors a year to plant new churches.

Currently, we have announced to the churches our first group 20 pastors who are willing to open up churches in northern Malawi. We believe that in January 2020, they will begin their training. We pray that the Lord will encourage you to participate in this matter!

I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back

I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back

There is a big joy to witness the decision of two people who decided to follow Jesus and made it visible through baptism! “I want satan to know that I am following Jesus and I want people around me to know that I am with God!” “I want to be a part of God’s Church” – were answers when we ask them why they want to get baptized. It was truly a big joy and we are grateful to God who does the work!

“I look at you, Christians, and I like what  you are doing, I want to be a Christian too, but I am still afraid of the spirits that they will harm me and my family.”-said one lady, whose husband is a shaman. We had a chance to visit them and share about God, who is much higher than any other spirits and our sister, who just got baptized, was glad to share her testimony and how God is helping and protecting her.

Every Sunday we are visiting the elderly in our village and even there is a language barrier it is nice to see how our children helping each other to find the right words in their tribal language to tell about God. One Sunday, I was amazed to see how God is giving courage and desire, one of our boys was so on fire to share about God and His love for us. After we finished, he came and said that he wants to prepare a Bible story about the rich man and Lazarus, he said that he will tell this story in Mien. One week afterwards, his sister joined us and she was very surprised to hear her brother speaking in Mien, she said that he refuses to speak Mien at home, she didn’t hear him speaking Mien and no here he is telling a Bible story in it. Praise God for the work He is doing in their hearts.

Another grandma was very interested when we talked about God, a few weeks later when we came to visit her and asked if she is ready to believe and she said yes!

We have many children and teens who are coming to the church, there is one group of children who walks to church for around 40 min from their village up in the mountains. They are glad to be with us and learn more about God.

Thank you for your prayers, as we finished the half-year of our school, we realized that we had three groups of children but only two teachers, and for the third group, God always provided someone to teach! Through all these 5 months! One girl came for 3 months, as soon as she left, in one week, another young lady came for 2 weeks and in a few weeks later the school was over. God is great!

We are also grateful to God for our new friend and sister in Christ. Also, we are grateful for the opportunity to learn with our youth how to share the Gospel in a simple way, using colors and telling the main truths about God, Jesus and mankind. Which is very useful for every Christian!

Please pray:

1.    For those who got baptized for their faith to get stronger.

2.    For those who hear the Gospel, that their hearts will be open to understand and accept Christ as a Savior

3.    For our Church building project. Thank you, we have 5 men and 4 young ladies who are coming to help. We are also planning to have English activities during this time

4.    Please pray for our youth as they will share the Gospel with others during the upcoming camp.

Thank you very much for every prayer, God is really answering.

Bethesda is in need!

Bethesda is in need!

Peace and grace to you, dear friends! In 2014, God blessed the church with 3 houses, in one of the villages in the Omsk region. Soon it was decided to use these houses as a ministry of mercy and create a shelter for the elderly, the disabled and those who have absolutely nowhere to go. Colossal work was done in the building: windows were inserted, floors were laid in some rooms, water was installed, and the heating system was repaired.

Despite all this, the buildings remain unfinished. Currently there are 26 people, 15 of them are between the ages 50 to 70 years, 8 of them have physical disabilities: amputation of limbs, partial loss of speech and coordination.

Many of those who stay here do not have any documents or formalized pensions, which means there is still a lot of work ahead.

The main problem of the building is the old and leaking roof, which flows from the ceiling along the walls – and that’s why we cannot do the interior decoration of the rooms.

To replace the roof, we need wood (board, timber, crossbars). Roof tiles and a drainage system are also needed. We also need volunteers and are ready to do it ourselves. For all this we need to raise about $4000.

We pray to the Lord for the sacrificial, caring, and heart-giving partners in the work of the Lord.

Train Up a Child from the Beginning…

Train Up a Child from the Beginning…

Peace be with you our dear brothers and sisters! We would like to thank you all for your prayers; in Vietnam the rainy season began, and we praise the Lord for keeping us from floods. Also, we are very thankful to God for sending us brother and sisters for a week from the US, who helped us in the ministry here.

Though it rained most of the week, it was a blessing to us that God paused the raining during our children’s’ ministry since the cemetery ground is pure dirt and from the rain it would have been very muddy, but by the mercy of God, during the few hours we spent with the children there was no rain and the ground was dry! This was same even the next week, when it rained heavy all day, but during our kids’ ministry the ground was dry, and the sky was clear that the children even pointed out airplanes in the sky! We are very thankful to God for taking  care of our small worries, like the rain, and turning it into miracles that the children can see and praise God for it!

In addition, by the wonderful grace of God, we had our first Sunday school in our church because a few Sundays before, a young woman Liza, repented! Now with her little children Liya and Romik, she continues to visit our church and prayer groups. We ask you to please pray with us so God would continue to work in her heart and that her children may learn to love Jesus from the beginning of their young age.

We are now very happy to have children in our church and if it is God’s will, we would like to continue Sunday school with Liya and Roma because it was very interesting for them since they never heard the word ‘God’ and were interested to know who He was and that He created everything.

We thank God that our children ministry is growing and now even in our own church! Please continue to pray for the hearts of all these children, that they be set on the right path in the very beginning of their lives as it says, “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

How I found Christ

How I found Christ

My journey to God has not always been the easiest. Growing up in a nourishing Christian family with an amazing church has been a big blessing to me. At a young age I knew what a Christian looked like, acted liked, and lived like. Yet, slowly my faith began to chip. It was a non alarming decision that found ground in my heart where I decided that living with God was limiting me. I abandoned reading the Bible, lost motivation to pray, and got tired of fighting all the temptations. The superficial, worldly entertainment soon began to wane as I realized among other things the many broken relationships which only added to my misery. I lost peace, joy, and most importantly His blessings. At the hardest point in my life I was begging God to rescue me and in February of 2016 God heard my prayers. It was hard work cleaning up the mess I made, yet after several months I finally felt the joy that I had forsaken. In that same year I got baptized, dedicating each and every day to God.

Have experienced living without God’s protection, I now understand what it means to live with Him. The fullness is immeasurable. I never want to lose that, but share that with those around me.

I never prayed or even thought about going on a missionary trip while in college but, God opened that door and gave the desire in my heart to dedicate this time to Him. I hope what God gave me I can share with others; I hope that many more can finally see their purpose for God and enjoy the fullness of life with Him now and in eternity.
