Homeless people have been living in Bethesda for many years. We have sheltered them and have weekly bible meetings with them! For some, we help restoring documents, apply for pensions for them, and take them to hospitals. People with amputated limbs are among them!
When we took over the building, it was in disrepair. In order to have homeless people reside there we urgently need to change the roof and make major repairs. Bethesda is not just a home for homeless people – it is also our church! Here we are gathering for worship!
God did not leave us. With your help, we have bought wood and are ready to begin the repair. We still lack about $4,000 for interior decoration. We will be grateful from the heart to all who participate in this good deed!
Jesus was born just on time … The world needed His love and the Lord gives us unique opportunities – to talk about the born Savior!
With your help, we were able to visit three children’s institutions, where children really need love, attention, and care. Fifty gifts went to the children in the children’s hospice. It has a tense atmosphere. Children on the verge of life and death. We came to visit them right on time. This time around is very difficult for the children.
Twenty gifts went to the children’s rehabilitation center. Children who live here have parents who have temporarily lost custody of them. The Christmas message brought them some joy while away from home.
We brought 70 gifts to the children’s oncological hospital. It was a great holiday. Games, songs, fun and, of course – gifts. Here we met the11 years old girl, Ruzana. We had a conversation with her, joked, played and talked about Christmas. A few days later, Ruzana died … Christmas arrived on time … Thank you so much for participating in the Christmas project!
My heart rejoices and is filled with joy, which I want to share with you. On January 6th, we had the privilege to proclaim the Good News. Together, we held two Christmas performances in two villages, in Kovalevo – where we live and in the neighboring village Ivanovka.
In Kovalevo the holiday took place in the house of culture with more than 50 people, most of them children with parents. For more than an hour the Gospel was proclaimed in a playful way, and it was accepted by both children and adults, we gave gifts, calendars, Bibles and the Gospel.
In the afternoon we went to the neighboring village Ivanovka – and we were surprised that 160 people came for the holiday, 103 were children and 56 adults. The Lord again, like many years ago, made a miracle. When we arrived, we had 105 gifts left, so we began to meet the children at the door and count them.
And here it is a miracle from the Lord – 103 children came, and there were enough gifts for all the children and, the remaining two were given to the elders. These days only a few people believe in miracles and selfless motives. But through doing good, we showed people the real reason of Christmas!
On this beautiful and wonderful day, the Gospel was heard by more than 200 people, and your participation was crucial here. Thank you so much. May God reward you for your diligence in spreading the Gospel!
In Russia, we have the privilege of celebrating Christmas twice on the 25th of December, and on January 7th. My team and I handed out 900 gifts. We had a Christmas play for children, and we performed it seven times in different places. Children from the orphanage and the oncological hospital were touched. They willingly spoke about Jesus and about His birth, this is God’s mercy because for some this was the first time, and for some maybe the last.
I met a family of four, a mother and three sons. One of them is disabled, his name is Savely. He was born without kneecaps and cannot move independently. But he is a very kind and intelligent boy, he loves to read. When I presented him with a children’s bible, he cried joyfully and said: “I really need it now.” We helped them with Christmas groceries and are now collecting money for a wheelchair. In the chair, Savely will be mobile and less dependent on others!
Ulana’s mother said she believes in miracles; she is a unique woman. She works three jobs and takes care of her children alone. We started to be friends with them and would like to help them. Thank you for your participation.
Greetings to you brothers and sisters! The grace of God is above us, and we are among those who can help people in need. I want to send you greetings from Anastasia and her daughter Dasha. They are in difficult circumstances. Dasha was once again operated and now she is undergoing chemotherapy. There is currently no way to begin transplantation of the bone marrow. They have been in St. Petersburg for a long time and we pray that the disease will recede, her immune system will strengthen and an opportunity for transplantation will appear. Anastasia is being prepared for the procedure as a donor!
She especially needs our support. To see your daughter, who’s skull has already been opened for three times and practically loses her sight, is an unbearable test. The other day we visited them in the hospital, but we could only give them some medicines, food and personal items since they were not allowed to leave the room.
Anastasia understands that God controls everything, and greatly appreciates our participation in their fate. In addition to Dasha, two more of our children are waiting for a bone marrow transplant! Thank you for your help. Without you, we could not help these children!
Jesus came to the “sick.” To those who really needed Him. He did not pass by the sick, the outcast, and the lonely. Christmas is a holiday that reminds us of Christ’s most important mission. That is why, on this day, our team went to hospitals and boarding schools, where people are in very difficult, painful and lonely situations.
In the Krasnodar Children’s Cancer Hospital there are about 70 children. They are here for many months, fighting for their lives. Every day, children undergo painful procedures. Their mothers are with them crying daily. Last year on Mother’s Day, we arranged a special day for them. We made coffee, invited musicians to play the saxophone, and started a creative workshop with them. It was so nice to see smiles on their faces.
The children’s hospice has nearly 60 children with diagnoses who are incurable. Hopelessness is everywhere! Other children are placed in a children’s rehabilitation center. They are waiting for their parents to stop drinking and change their lifestyle. Some have luck and some don’t. Some parents lose parental rights … Children will be sent either to other families or to the orphanage.
At Christmas, we went to these children. We carried gifts, a good mood, and most importantly – the story of the Savior’s birth. Thank you for participating in the gifts. We invite you to come with us and become part of our team!
